Ray started with mobile discos in 1979 at the age of just 13. He soon built up the business with 8 DJ's and 9 road crew working for him, running one of the biggest mobile discos in Wales.
On his 17th birthday, he had his first nightclub residency at the Mayfair in Swansea, working with Radio 1's Peter Powell. He was soon poached by Mecca, opening many of their new clubs around the country.
He won the Record Mirror DJ of the year award in 1988, 1991, 1994 and 2008 the Disco Mix Club's best DJ mixer award with Tony Prince. Soon Ibiza came calling where Ray worked at Cafe Mambo Space Nightclub where he was known for remixing singles and dance anthems. At the age of 19 he owned his own nightclub in Port Talbot called Raffles.
In just a few months since his first ever Radio show, he's built up a big following and has become a huge hit with the radio listeners.
Ray now works for Mclaren as an Aero engineer.
