Karl Burtonshaw

Karl fell in love with broadcasting at a young age when he discovered Kenny Everett on Radio 1. In more recent years, he assisted in the making of the BBC audio documentary ‘Kenny on the Solent’. Back in the 80’s, ‘Ev’ even recorded jingles for him to use on his Swansea Sound shows. Prior to his big break, Karl presented on both hospital and university radio in the city. He’s interviewed countless characters from the local area to Robin Gibb and Queen Latifah. He’s also got a production credit for ‘Small Axe’ directed by Oscar winner Steve McQueen for BBC TV in the UK and Amazon Prime in the US. Hear him on Welsh Coast Radio
