Geoff Archer

I started my radio life at Radio City (Hospital Radio) in 1980 helping to collect requests from the wards and co-hosted a show with the late Doreen Jenkins who along with 3 other members went to Swansea Sound before I presented my own show.

After a long stint as Programme Controller, I turned my hand to football commentary broadcasting from the vetch when the Swans were promoted to the then division 1 from division 4, and then all the way back to division 4 again.

Whilst working at Singleton Hospital, where I stayed for 31 years, I heard about a new radio station.  They were looking for new members and six months later I joined Radio Tircoed where I once again became programme controller and then Director,  second in charge to the Late Great Bob Walker.

Other than radio, my other interests including metal detecting and motorhome travel.

I'm so pleased to be returning to the airways to broadcast to Swansea on Welsh Coast Radio.
